Top Walt Disney World Resorts for Easy Park Access
We break down the Top Walt Disney World Resorts for Easy Park Access and help you figure out where you should choose to stay on your Walt Disney World trip, to make your stay as magical as possible.
A trip to Walt Disney World in Florida is one that children (and parents) dream of taking. But with 4 theme parks, 2 water parks and plenty of on-site activities for both kids and adults, booking a WDW trip can (at times) feel like a military level operation. That's why we're breaking down the Top Walt Disney World Resorts for Easy Park Access, so you can choose where to stay on Disney property that will give your family the best holiday ever.
Did you know that there is FREE Disney transportation on site for guests of Walt Disney World?
That's right, no matter what you're doing on Disney property, there's plenty of free ways to travel around and get to your next activity.
What's best is that when you stay at Walt Disney World Resort, you get free park transportation, right to your hotel door.
First, let's break down the types of free transportation you can get at Disney World and the benefits of each.
Bus
The Disney Buses are very easily recognisable and are frequent throughout Disney property. These are the most common mode of transport and will take you almost anywhere on site. If you've been before you'll recognise the welcoming voice of Disney as you board asking you to "take small children by the hand" and you'l feel instantly at home. The Disney buses are free to hop on and off and run extremely frequently throughout the day from each of the resorts, to the 4 parks and 2 water parks, and to Disney Springs too. They even run park-to-park throughout the day so you can park hop to your hearts delight! Every Disney resort has bus stops (sometimes multiple).
Skyliner
First opened in September 2019, the iconic gondolas of the Disney Skyliner are the most magical way (*in our opinion) to travel to and from Epcot and Hollywood Studios in style. Although they unfortunately don't run during really bad weather (like high winds and lightning nearby), the Skyliners are a really great, free addition, to The Walt Disney World Transportation. There are Skyliner stations at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Riviera Resort and a station between Disney's Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts; these give access to not only hop easily between resorts, but also to stations located at Disney's EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
Boats
For some resorts there is also access via water transportation - ie. Boats! Board water taxis, ferryboats and river cruises from Walt Disney World Resorts to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and even Disney Springs.
Monorail
The infamous Walt Disney World Monorail is another free mode of transportation across Disney property for guests. With 3 separate lines across WDW, you can access Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, the Ticket and Transportation Centre (TTC) and 3 incredible WDW Resorts around The Seven Seas Lagoon.
As you can see, Walt Disney World has a plethora of free transportation to help you easily navigate your way around the property and hopping from resort to theme park, couldn't be easier.
